The traditional apparel we all see in magazines and vintage publications are believed to be conservative…arguably, some say iconic.
“In what way?” critics asked.
“IN MANY WAYS!” the retrophiles bellowed.
Is it the pinup hairdos or the pearls that now cost a fortune, maybe the platform shoes that are making a major comeback? Needless to say, the “olde world” look remains timeless but has steadily snowballed into a nostalgic ”New Age Retro” and we’re all for it!
Let’s take a look-see on how we can pair the retro ensemble.
HOT RED DAY!
Red exudes power and energy. What a great way to start any day! You can pair that red number with subtle or no piece of jewellery, your choice. The beauty of the colour red is that it oozes the already innate confidence. I can’t imagine a better entrance into that board room meeting!
LBD extraordinaire
The little black dress goes with practically anything and can work as both a day and night outfit. In the daytime, it can be paired with a white blazer for that client meeting or a dinner rendezvous with a coloured scarf loosely thrown around, secured with a brooch.
Did someone say casual?
There is a lot of flexibility in present times. You can look formal or laid back depending on your choice of outfit. Flared pants work beautifully well with a blouse or a blazer paired with brogues which are currently the new FIRE but if you’re looking for something comfortable yet stylish, you can opt for the slingback ballet flats and you are good to go!
Big, Bold, Accessorize!
Pearls have always held a certain grandeur regardless of the occasion; they enhance elegance. If you are feeling royal and grand, why not don on a set of pearls and have a ball!
